Celebrity couple Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade are celebrate their 10th year anniversary and the couple went all big, emotional and vulnerable for it.
According to their social media posts, the two held a lavish yet intimate party surrounded by family and friends in a luxurious mansion that looked like something off a Disney page due to its architectural structure, wall flowers and towering trees.
On her part veteran actress and model Gabrielle who chose a shimmering pink, low neck sequin dress for the occasion shared a carousel of pictures highlighting how their invites only anniversary went down as well as the afterparty which involved drinks, dinner by the pool with private chefs and a DJ serving them hits back to back.
Captioning the post the 52-year-old Hollywood household name lovingly wrote, "10 years of having a very long, very fun, very loving, never ending sleepover with my homie, lover, partner, and best friend.
Through sickness and health, crisis and celebrations, through bad golf days and flubbed lines and new adventures... We stand united and we thrive. 10 toes down, 10 years in, forever to go,"
Miami Heat legend Dwayne chose a bespoke peach suit to match the aesthetic of their celebration. The 41-year-old had it shirtless with only the first 2 buttons of his coat buttoned.
In his speech, the former NBA star revealed the past year had been quite challenging for them but he's grateful they pulled through and made it to the decade mark.
“Year nine was hard for us standing here we were kind of reminiscing about how we even got to here,” started off the Hall of Fame basketball player.
Appreciating his wife Dwayne added, “Thank you for being there to show me all of the things I forget along the way.
Thank you for continuing to show me that you ain’t going nowhere that you’re willing to love me through shortcomings I’ve had and the moments of growth that I have.
So, thank you for teaching me, thank you for believing in me,”
Dwayne and Gabriel started dating back in 2009 after a while they had a nasty split and took a break from each other. With time, they rekindled their romance and tied the knot on August 30th 2014.
The couple is blessed with one child (a baby girl named Kaavia James.) However, Dwayne has 3 other kids from a different relationship.
