In 2022, the nominations will be made by the academy's members rather than a few industry experts selected as the committee.

“The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency.”
This was after he was not nominated in any category even when his album did very well in 2020.
The academy said that the new changes are to make sure that the awards' rules and guidelines are transparent and equitable.
