President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the death of retired President Mwai Kibaki on Friday, April 21.

Since then, the public has sent condolences and most people shared on social media how they remember the former President.

Well, several singers have also released tribute songs including Safara Gathimiti who shared a tribute song titled 'Kwaheri Kibaki' on Youtube.

Samar all stars also took to studio to release the song 'Kibaki bye bye"

 Kikuyu Singer Ngaruiya Junior has garnered thousands of views in the song Huruka Thayu, which is a tribute to the late President. 

Singer Embarambara has also been seen shooting a tribute to the retired former president.

In the song, the funny man is seeing doing what he does best; playing with mud as he sings;

"Kifo kifo umechukuwa Kibaki wapi? (Ooh death, where have you taken Kibaki) Kibaki amekufa, (Kibaki is dead)"

"Kibaki umeenda wapi? Umefuata raisi Moi...Kibaki nikikumbuka president wa tatu, Kibaki ameaga. (Where have you gone Kibaki? You've followed late president Moi, I remember you Kibaki our third president. Kibaki is dead."

He said this on a short music video which he shot at a maize plantation.

The national funeral steering committee announced that Kibaki will be buried on April 30 in Othaya, Nyeri County.

The public has been given a chance to view the body of the retired President between 9 am and 5 pm.

The national state funeral will happen on Friday 29th at Nyayo National Stadium.

The funeral's memorial service will be interdenominational and led by the Catholic Church.

Final rites for President Kibaki will be held on Saturday, April 30, with a memorial service at Othaya Stadium.
