Fans are reacting to avideo of singer Bahati crying at a press conference, claiming that he has been asked to recall his nomination certificate in the Mathare Constituency race. 

After the presser, Bahati to Instagram to plead with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is the party leader of Jubilee. 

"Dear My President H.E Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta... Dear The 5th Raila Amollo Odinga... I Strongly Believe There's a Space for the Youth in the Azimio Government... Please Intervene on this issue and Let the People of Mathare Get Justice," he wrote. 

His wife Diana Marua showed support for the aspiring MP, leaving some words of encouragement for him. 

"Every Dark Cloud has a Silver Lining. It's Tough but We shall Overcome. @BahatiKenya Stay Focused on the Greatness that lies ahead of you and the people of Mathare."
