Gospel singer Evelyn Wanjiru and her husband Agundabweni Akweyu revealed they were expecting a child through a baby bump photo.
It seems by the time they were revealing this to the public, they had already welcomed their son Mshindi.
Well, Evelyn has now shared a photo of herself, her hubby, as she introduced her son to the World.
They welcomed their son on April 6th after waiting for ten years for a child.
"We are excited to see you grow and become that great person God intended you to be! You are a dream come true, an answered prayer and the greatest gift from God!" She wrote about her son
She also described her husband as a rare gem;
"A true God-given gift! I love you! Am excited and ready to raise him together with you!.... Family and friends thank you for standing with us in prayers, for every advice and support."
Now meet their newborn;
"A blessed womb, God has fulfilled His promise in our lives...I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him" 1 Samuel 1:27 I pray for every couple almost giving up. Look at us and see what the Lord has done. Friends and family I tell you; There's a distinct difference, anybody can be a father but it takes a special man to be a DAD"
"I don't know who needs to hear this but I was hungry enough to wait for that promise to be manifested in my life. You don't get what you pray for, you get what you've waited for, "because those who wait upon the Lord are like Mt zion they shall mount up with wings like eagles."
The singer spoke about how she sang praises as she waited and encouraged one another.
"Yet we were also asking God questions. "'Where are you? Until when, how many more doctors shall we see?' Then I would hear a voice saying. Get encouraged. The measure of your temptation is equal to the measure of your blessings."
She asked her fans to fight their battles delightfully for after every test there is a testimony and after every victory, there is a Prize.
"Agunda and I have come to realize that God has a track record of keeping His word. This season, may even the angels testify of your breakthrough. Change of your status! Change of your name! Change of your circumstances! Change of your story! Indeed God is faithful, He has made everything beautiful in His time... A big Thank you to everyone who ever mentioned us in your prayers and held our hands."
