Katie Nicholl, a royal expert says that Queen Elizabeth II convinced Meghan Markle to mend her relationship with her dad, Thomas Markle.

Nicholl said this in her upcoming book “The New Royals.”

“The Queen could see how damaging the situation was between Meghan and her father and she did speak to Meghan about it and tried to encourage her to talk to Thomas, reads a quote from her book

Nicholl says in the book that the Queen felt the whole thing was quite badly handled with Thomas Markle and "if it had been done differently, it would have come out better.”

Thomas wasn't able to attend his daughter's wedding to Harry. He watched the wedding while on his hospital bed over what was said to be undergoing a heart surgery.

Nicholl added that the Queen wanted Harry to also see Meghan's father.

“I think she felt that Harry should certainly have met Thomas Markle and it was unfortunate that that had to happen."
