Diamond Platnumz's stepfather Uncle Shamte is in love with Zuchu's music. Zuchu is signed under Diamond's music label WCB.
Speaking to Dizzim Online, Uncle Shamte gave reasons
"Mimi napenda mapenzi," (I love love).
Shamte has also been rooting for Diamond and Zuchu's relationship.
Shemte is married to Diamond's mother Mama Dangote. Two years ago, the two refuted claims that they were just dating but are married.
Mama Dangote shared a marriage certificate with her fans on Instagram stories.
"I think it’s because I don’t post him as often as I used to. There is a time when one opts to keep their affairs private, and some people interpret that as meaning all is not well. But it is untrue. Sometimes we like keeping our matters under wraps," said Mama Dangote
At one point, Uncle Shamte gave details of the properties he owns, shutting down claims that he was in the marriage for money.
“Mimi ni mfanyibiashara ndugu yangu, nina gereji ipo Dar es Salaam hii. Nishawahi kuwajibu watu, kwa jinsi unavyomwona huyu bibiye (Mama Dangote) wewe ushawahi kumskia kahonga mtu. Huyu ni Kigwasu (stingy lady). Vigwasu unawajua? Mpare hatari. Kwa hiyo hakuna mtu anayeweza kupata hela kutoka kwake yeye. Mimi huyu alikuwa rafiki yangu, urafiki ukatengeneza mahusiano, mahusiano yakatengeneza mke na mume na tulikutana Paris, France,” he remarked.
Last month, the couple celebrated five years of being together.
