Catherine Kasavuli's mother Rachel Kasavuli has eulogized the veteran news anchor as her best daughter.
At the memorial service, Mama Rachel said;
"She used to ask meat from her father on my behalf. She was my best daughter"
The 90-year-old remembered how Kasavuli's farming helped the family.
"Catherine was a farmer. After work, she'd take her jembe and farm. We grew cassava and she'd come with some of it for breakfast."
"Please pray for me...I don't know what to say, some words have left me. "
She concluded;
"Those that have come here. May God guide you, together with your families."
"Educate your kids, give them what they want. "
Catherine Kasavuli succumbed to cervical cancer at the Kenyatta hospital private wing.
KBC news anchor John Jacob Kioria recently shared a tweet that confirmed that President William Ruto had waived the Ksh 4 million hospital bill.
"Great, thanks to our President @WilliamsRuto who has waived the hospital bill incurred by my colleague Katherine Kasavuli. May her soul continue to rest in peace." he tweeted.
