For a long period of time, you've been told that fat is your worst enemy when it comes to your health.

That you should avoid it at all cost for the sake of our God given body.

It turns out, not all fats are bad for you.

Saturated fats found in fast foods, commercially baked pastries and food in packaged containers (chips, ice cream), when taken in large amounts on a regular basis, can increase your LDL (Low-density lipoprotein) levels.

They bring all types of heath risks but not all fats do.

Unsaturated fats increase your HDL (High-density lipoprotein) levels.

Taken in moderated amounts unsaturated fats help you in your journey through health and fitness.

Monounsaturated fats can be found in foods such as olives, peanut butter, olives and sesame seed.

Poly saturated fats can be found in fatty fish which is a great source of omega 3, sunflower seeds and soy milk.

If fish isn't your cup of tea then you can supplement it with omega 3 tablets. Please consult your nutritionist on the appropriate dosage of omega 3 specific to you.

Avoid eating larger fish such as sharks and swordfish they contain a larger amount of mercury and pollutants than your regular tilapia.

Research has shown that omega 3 can actually help you with depression, dementia, heart diseases, joint pain and more.
