Rapper Octopizzo is facing murder charges after he was fingered by neighbours as the last person to have an altercation with a Strathmore University student.
Octopizzo is reported to have beat up Kenneth Abom – an ICT student at Strathmore University – on Friday.
A neighbour told Kiss100.co.ke:
“The kid went home bleeding and locked himself in their bathroom, he started screaming and breaking stuff then jumped from the 4th floor of their apartment block.”
At the time of the altercation, Octopizzo’s sister was in the house.
The father of Kenneth, Aggrey Abom told KTN:
“If he knew there is something wrong with him, he should have come to us and told us what happened.”
Aggrey described the nature of Kenneth’s injuries after the fight with Octopizzo. He said the son had a cut across his face on top his eyebrow an indication that he was hit with a blunt object repeatedly.
“Kenneth had a cut on his face,” he angrily said, “He (Octopizzo) took a blunt object there, which was used to hit him.”
Neighbours claim that they heard Octopizzo threaten the students life while wielding a machete.
That is when he run for his life and an hour later jumped off the fourth floor of the building and sustained injuries. He died on Saturday evening. While receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.
The family is waiting for the postmortem to institute a wrongful death suit against the rapper.
