Kibe was in the States last week and one memory that he took out of the trip was when he went for a house party at his friend's house. They were having a good time until the party was shut down by a 10-year-old child.
"Imagine I was in America in a house and we are just having fun times, nyama, alcohol nini nini. It is a house party. We buy things and bring them home. Neighbour hasn't said anything despite the noise. You know American neighbours are snitches. The owner of the house has a daughter. So the girl came home from school she went upstairs to do her homework in her uniform like a normal kid. She is about maybe 10 years old. A lot of us in the house were travelling the next day so we were making so much noise. At around 9, she comes out of the room and shouts, 'excuse me!' 'excuse me!'. I listen wondering what could she possibly be telling us grown-ups. She just says 'shhh' and we all went silent.I was wondering how could we be silenced by a child. I am thinking somebody slap this kid! The mother said, she might tell 911 and the cops might come for us for making noise. I asked these guys when a kid is beaten what happens, she said, she might report you and you can get arrested.
Imagine, the bash ended there. The mother said it is time to go home because my 10-year-old needs to sleep." Kibe narrated
Kamene was in shock saying back in our days, we could not even talk to our parents let alone talk back to them.
"We used to fear grown ups because every grown-up had a right to discipline you anywhere and then he would come at night to tell your parents which is another beating." Kamene said
According to The Morning Kiss duo, we turned out very well after being beaten. We are very disciplined but the kids today are spoilt because beating your child is a crime.
These days you touch a child, you will be taken to the police station. Back then when you report you were beaten by a teacher,your parent would ask what did you do? You were not getting away with anything. Today a child cannot be touched by anyone, not a teacher, not a parent no body!
Millennial parents are very lenient to their child so would you beat your child or not? Parents calling in said that they used to be given a thorough beating but now, they cannot allow anyone to touch their child.
