TV fans will be delighted to know that millennial favorite Gossip Girl, the series which starred Blake Lively and aired on The CW from 2007 until 2012, is getting a spinoff.

As reported by Variety, the new show will be part of WarnerMedia's offering on its upcoming streaming service called HBO Max.

There is no word yet as to whether Lively or her original co-stars are involved in the spinoff, even as cameos, although rumors about a Gossip Girl reunion have been swirling for a while.

The original show followed a group of elite Upper East Side Manhattan teens who were watched and taunted by a blogger known as the Gossip Girl.

It was known for both its high fashion content as well as the characters' fair share of scandalous antics.

The hit show lasted six seasons, and launched the career of Lively, who played popular socialite Serena van der Woodsen.

Other stars who were made famous by the series include Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Taylor Momsen.

Variety reports that WarnerMedia has made a straight-to-series order of 10 one-hour episodes for the new series, which is set eight years after the original show’s finale.

The yet-to-be-titled show will focus on a new group of New York City private school teens and will explore how much social media and the city has evolved since the original program's conclusion.

The original Gossip Girl series was based on the YA novels written by Cecily von Ziegesar.

Other highly anticipated programs that will be available on HBO Max this fall include the DC Entertainment series Batwoman starring Ruby Rose, and Riverdale spinoff Katy Keene.
