You need to understand a few things about your hair first. Sometimes the reason your hair just isn't growing as fast as you want it to or as long is because of genetics. Some peoples genetics allows them to grow their hair a lot faster than others. You just can't help this one it's beyond you. Don't compare your hair growth to someone else's.

Your hair has a life span. The period in time where your hair grows out is known as anagen. This is the time when your hair is receiving all the protein it needs to grow. The general growth rate for most people is 4-6 years others can grow their hair up to 10 years others 2 years. It all depends on genetics.

Your hair grows about 1/2 - 3/4 an inch/month. Be patient it will grow but it'll take time. You can, however, take certain steps to make sure that your hair grows stronger thicker and fuller. Here's how.

  1. Condition your hair

It's simple but it's key. The conditioner gives your hair the particles it needs to stay strong and healthy. Take it a step further by implementing a deep conditioner in your hair care routine. A deep conditioner will give your hair the moisture it needs to remain healthy.

2. Avoid shampooing regularly

You want to avoid using shampoo regularly. The shampoo is great for removing all the dirt from your hair but it also strips away the natural oils from it. Try shampooing your hair once a week. If you use a heavy amount of products in your hair then use a heavy conditioner to wash your hair, if you use light products on your hair then use a light shampoo.

But if your deficient of some nutrients and vitamins such as vitamin A, C, D and biotin which are essential for hair growth, take a multivitamin or biotin supplement. Consult your nutritionist to ensure you are getting all the essentials you need.

4. Take care of your scalp

The scalp is the skin on your head. You need to take care of it to, make sure that you get the most healthy hair possible. Massage it with essential oils (argan, coconut, Morrocan) it'll send blood to your scalp, feed it nutrients which stimulates hair growth not only that but it feels good. Be gentle with it.
