Justin Bieber has always been open about the role of faith in his life.

On Saturday, the 24-year-old pop singer was seen out in New York City with his pastor, Carl Lentz, 40.

The Sorry singer has leaned on his spiritual adviser in recent days as he has reportedly been seeking treatment for depression.

Carl also opted for sweats, going with a white hoodie and dark blue pants. He wore a black leather jacket over top and had on a pair of cream-colored boots.

The Love Yourself singer seemed to have a downcast look on his face as he followed Lentz.

Justin Bieber has reportedly been treating his depression from multiple angles, including secular therapy sessions with mental health professionals, as well as religious counseling from members of his Hillsong church.

The evangelical place of worship originated as an offshoot of an Australian megachurch. The church also has a Los Angeles-based location.

On Friday Justin was seen in New York City with his wife Hailey Baldwin, 22, as the two made their way to a joint counseling session.

The songwriter looked notably more upbeat in the presence of his smiling wife.

He even joked around with photographers, pointing out his $1,500 Louis Vuitton slippers and his golden medallions.

Hailey has been an essential part of him seeking treatment for mental health issues.

The fashion model spotted some of the symptoms of depression after he began sleeping longer than usual and had trouble getting up in the mornings, according to an insider who spoke to Entertainment Tonight.

'One of the reasons Hailey knew he needed more help was his sleep patterns,' revealed the insider.

'He's been sleeping far more than usual, and struggles to get out of bed until very late into the morning or early afternoon.'
