Njugush is happy he broke up with his ex who was all about the money *insert Jessie J’s voice*.
He opened up about this when he was hosted on The Wicked Edition with Dr. Kingori, where he said his ex left him because he did not have money. He was accompanied to the interview by his wife, Celestine Ndinda, as they laughed at their past.
Njugush and his wife formed a tight bond because of past bad relationships. He is so glad he broke up with his ex because he found the best in Wakavinye.
“I’m sure they are watching us today because they said bad things about me. I am grateful we broke up.” He said
His ex thought he had no vision for his future.
“There are people in this life that speak things that they don’t know what they mean. When someone tells you that you are not headed anywhere in future. We broke up because of money, I had nothing at the moment,” Njugush added.
“I mean, those were tender ages and I blame her because you can’t judge a chick for not having wings yet it’s not yet a chicken.”
In as much as the breakup hurt Njugush, he turned out to be one of the richest and most sought after comedians in Kenya. He needed the toughness to create a future for himself and he found the perfect partner to help him grow his brand and their relationship as husband and wife and parents.
Celestine said they have had their ups and downs in as much as Kenyans have painted them as a power couple.
“We have never broken up but we many times get tired of each other and wish to take a break. We kosana a lot but I have never left our marriage because I realise the break is not helping at all. We have arguments a lot, even in marriage.”
The two have not made money a priority in their relationship and Njugush mentioned that Celestine used to handle his ATM when he was making thousands and she wasn’t making as much. That is what you call a power couple.
