It has emerged that Pastor Kanyari has moved on and is dating a pretty young lass who is also his personal assistant.
"I don't miss Kanyari. I am so occupied with life and I even don't follow up on what he does. I am enjoying the freedom of being single. Every marriage has issue, there are those you can stand but others you can't my self am really enjoying the freedom of enjoying being single."
Kanyari made headlines when he was exposed for asking his congregants to pledge Ksh 310 for prayers and blessings. This also included some unsavoury tactics to manufacture miracles.
According to the Nairobian, the pastor has been spotted severally with his new bae. Neighbours even claim that the bae spends nights at his Kangundo Road mansion.
Actually, neighbours claim they may have moved in "since May this year".
Kanyari defended himself, telling Th Nairobian,
"I’M NOT MARRIED YET BUT WHEN I DO, I'LL LET YOU KNOW. THAT WOMAN YOU ARE CLAIMING TO BE MY WIFE IS MY PERSONAL ASSISTANT AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT."
The pastor share custody of their two children with Betty. But the singer says he has slacked in his role as a provider.
"We are neither enemies nor friends but we coordinate where it is possible. He is a stingy man who only provides little for his children. Don't think he is that man you wake up and ask him for everything. He helps kidogo but I believe as a woman you are not supposed to depend fully on men so I provide for them." Betty said.
Adding: "With an attitude like mine unaumia coz not all men can provide without being reminded."
Betty says that some of the lessons she learnt from her former marriage are:
"I learnt that it is good to never cover up for the wrong thing just because of love. If it is not working walk out out, don't die because of what people will say after you walk out. I persevered so much because of fear thinking that it would work but it didn't seem to work and I thank God I came out alive." Betty said.
She dismissed rumours that have been going round that one of her child was not from her former marriage.
"All my kids are his but everyone has a right to say what they want. You can't be affected if you know your truth," she concluded.
