Avril has come out to reveal the medical condition she suffered from after giving birth.

So many people thought she went through a CS to bring her bundle of joy to the world. She clarified that she had a normal birth, and what’s worse is that she had an episiotomy – when doctors make a cut on the opening to allow the baby to come out.

Episiotomy, also known as perineotomy, is a surgical incision of the perineum and the posterior vaginal wall generally done by a midwife or obstetrician. An episiotomy is usually performed during the second stage of labor to quickly enlarge the opening for the baby to pass through.

This is the reason as to why Avril was not able to create a video for Naiboi’s song, 2in1. Speaking to Chris and Jalang’o, she said

“He started the beef. You get to a threshold where you’re like why is it that I am always the one being picked on? Two years beef really? From my understanding, I denied him to a video of the famous song, two in one. I had just delivered my baby and I was recovering then he sent me a message but no one knew I was in recovery. He asked me if I can do a video for him and I said of course but I did not think it was immediately. I thought it was a week thing.

Two hours later, he asked the video? The next day he was constantly asking and I was like I do not need such pressure right now. I had a normal delivery but I got an Episiotomy. I even had problems sitting but someone wants me to go full on make up and shoot a video? I was not in that state of mind or space to do the video.”

Avril said that she found about about the beef when two years later, people tagged her on social media posts. This was when Naiboi was saying he wants to collaborate with female artistes but he did want to work with Avril. Read the story below:

‘I’d hate to be your chic’ Naiboi and Avril go at each other on social media

Avril is still shocked that the feud has lasted this long

I saw the post and I was like dude are we still on this? I got so mad now. I said I will not be picked on again. I need to stand out for the female artistes. Akwende huku!
