Yesterday was International Women's day, and the one lesson Kamene learned was that so many lasses are faking living a perfect life on social media.
They attribute their fancy lifestyle to hardwork that is paying off, the reason why they manage to catch flights and not feelings.
This conversation started after a certain girl was exposed for bedding a certain governor who caters for her travel and expensive lifestyle. She masks behind selling clothes and makeup claiming that is what makes her the money to travel.
"We have been misled by these babes on social media. Kumbe these babes are with the top-notch sponsors. If you do not have a sponsor who is a CEO or a governor, you do not have the right sponsor. These women wear designer clothes and sleep in hotels where they pay ksh600,000 a night. These women have been lying to their fellow women on social media that their businesses are paying off. Most of them sell clothes and makeup then they claim their hard work is finally paying off.
These women say they only fly first class and all they do is sell clothes. I have been stressed because I work so hard but I can not afford that life. Other women who have sponsors were also pissed because they have been getting the wrong services from these sponsors who only pay rent and 1k for nails and 5k pocket money.
To make it worse these women even have the audacity to advise us on how to make money." Kamene angrily shared
Kibe was equally in shock that although he has been on the grind making an honest living, he can't afford such travels.
Kamene and Kibe were recently abroad and they say traveling is very expensive especially first-class yet these girls afford this life by lying that they are working hard.
"I used to sell instant showers back in the day. Door to door, everyday house by house and in that business I still never made so much money to fly fast class. Then I started hawking Safaricom sim cards with a profit of 4 bob per sim card." Kibe recalled
He went ahead to share a personal story of one of his friend, a landlord, who sleeps with his tenant and pays her rent.
"My friend is living in a house with his wife and they have an SQ they have rented out to a lady. So every month, the guy would always tell the wife the girl has paid rent and remove some money from his wallet claiming he was given by the chic. Kumbe he's the one paying his own rent to the wife. He used to take the chic to work because they used to leave at the same time for work. How women can just confuse men in this generation is something else. Women even meet a man in a restaurant minding his own business but she will walk up to him and ask for a type C charger just to get his attention and that's how it all starts." Kibe added
For the likes of Kamene who are stressed at the lifestyle these instapreneurs are living and want such a life, Kibe concluded the discussion with his wise words of advice saying,
Stop living someone else's life. Here we want to be like the top-notch people. Learn to run your own race. Stop looking at these Instagram ladies and want to be like them.
Are you in agreement with Kibe? The pressure is becoming too much especially among millennials.
