It is a beautiful song, featuring one of Don Jazzy's projects, Reekado Banks and Bolivia a Kenyan model as the vixen.
But Mbosso went through a lot before the release. The song was apparently supposed to feature Sauti Sol but they took to much time to respond yet Reekado was willing.
Reekado Banks was so quick to respond to my DM. I was super excited because he knew a lot about me including the various awards I won last year and the exact titles. He even knew my songs despite the fact that he can not understand Swahili.The song was supposed to feature Sauti Sol but they took so long and Reekado was willing to work on a song immediately. I sent him the song instead and when I came to Kenya to shoot the video for his new track, Shillingi, he made it a point to let Sauti Sol know he has featured someone else for their verse.
More to that, he chose Reekado because he did ask for any form of payment.
Another thing that attracted Mbosso to quickly work with Reekado was that he was not paying him a dime. All I provided was transport, accommodation and clothes and it is all because he also really wanted to work with me.
The other guy who missed the opportunity to work with one of Tanzania's best artistes was Rude Boy who was just too daymn expensive.
The other guy was Rude Boy. I Dm'ed him but the negotiation was too expensive. Not that we could not afford, I just told my management we should not spend so much money on an artiste yet I still have a long way to go.
