Gina Rodriguez is saying adios to Jane the Virgin.

After a five season run, the CW will air the series finale on Wednesday night.

Ahead of the finale, Rodriguez, 35, took to Instagram to share an emotional farewell, writing:

'I will always love you Jane.'

Jane the Virgin. Wow. We started shooting the first season of Jane in July 2014. A few days into shooting I turned 30 on set. Yesterday I turned 35. And today is the very last episodes, 99 and 100 airing of Jane The Virgin. Five years. Five years of love, laughter, growth, pain, surprises, deaths, new births and a s—t ton of memories.

Rodriguez continued in a spirit of gratitude, thankful to those who supported her along the way.

To my warriors who have supported me from day one, Thank you. I am able to live out my dream career because of you and I will never stop making art to bring Joy and Laughter into your home/train ride/plane ride or classroom,' she wrote.

Art is my savior. Art is what makes me feel like I can fly,' the Chicago-born actress continued.

thank you to Jennie [Snyder Urman] for making me your Jane and to the incredible cast for becoming my family. I will always love you Jane. Hope you tune in tonight and enjoy our goodbye! [Photo] by my mentor and one of the best in the biz @bradsilberling

Last month the Golden Globe winner opened up about the anxiety and suicidal thoughts she first started to experience at the age of 16.

During a visit to the Kennedy Forum In Chicago, the Annihilation star revealed the last season of Jane the Virgin was particularly difficult for her to film, as she suffered from panic attacks.

'The last season was the first season that I had to stop production,' she said.

'And I just had a really tumultuous season, and I was unafraid, for the first time, to be like, "I can’t."'

Rodriguez admitted that her depressive and anxious thoughts sometimes coalesced into thoughts of self-harm.

'I started dealing with the idea... [that] everything is going to be better when I’m gone. Life will be easier; all the woes will be away, all the problems … Then I wouldn’t have to fail or succeed, right? Then all this surmounting pressure would go away. It would just go away,' she said.

The actress recently married Joe LoCicero, whom she met on the set of Jane the Virgin.
