Akothee this Akothee that.

Her tagline on the way her name is always used for the best or the worst. She is always a topic of discussion.

With all the stories out there, she has been termed as one of the most controversial and charismatic of Kenyan musicians. She recently spoke to  where she confessed she is now saved.

This is probably why Akothee was a guest of honor at Bahati's EMB Records rebirth event that happened last night.

Akothee delivered a rousing speech in support of Bahati, whom she affectionately refers to as her ‘son’.  She sent an indirect strong message to Jaguar, as she ranted to those who think asking for a collabo means sleeping with her.

I SEE SO MANY PEOPLE WANTING TO DO A COLLABO WITH ME, THEN THEY START ASKING I TRIED TO PUT MY LEG BACK, THEN THEY HOLD MY TOE…OH AKOTHEE ANTAKA KULALA NA MIMI! MIMI NI MAMA MZEE. I HAVE MY AGEMATES LIKE MHESH HERE IF I WANT I JUST dm you

Her statement cracked up the crowd and made Mhesh Jaguar all shy.

I AM HONOURED AND HAPPY TO BE HERE. I AM HAPPY TO SEE FACES THAT I SEE ON INSTAGRAM AND HAPPY TO SEE MY COLLEAGUE, MHESH JAGUAR. TO CUT THE LONG STORY SHORT, BAHATI IS LIKE MY SON. I ADDRESS HIM AS SON.

Trust Akothee to always say what is on her mind with no worry whatsoever. So why did she refer to Jaguar as her colleague?

She made an effort to go to Turkana to offer relief support to her brothers and sisters. She has an attachment to Turkana because that is where she was raised.

But she made it clear that she is not doing that to fight the government but playing her role as a Kenyan citizen.
