Comedian cum actor Idris Sultan on Friday appeared before a court together with two others.
The three have been accused of publishing content online without licensing.
Sultan is charged together with Dr, Ulimwengu and one Isihaka Mwinyimvua
The three are accused of putting up content on their Youtube between March 8th 2016 and March 12th 2020 in different places of Dar Es Salaam without license from TCRA (Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority)
The three denied their charges and were released on a Tsh 8 million (Ksh 368,000) and the case has been postponed to April 21, 2020
Last year, Sultan got into trouble for photoshopping Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli as a way of wishing him a happy birthday
Sultan came into the limelight after winning The Big Brother Africa Competition.
