Chris Kirubi has come out to speak his truth.

In as much as he is one of those billionaires Kenyans look up to, he has proved that he is human and has his weak moments just like the rest of us.

We found out he has cancer after a picture of him in a sickly state went viral, and Kenyans rallied together to pray for his quick recovery.

CK as he is popularly known, is slowly recovering from Cancer as revealed in a new interview seen by Kiss 100.

Biko Zuku went to Kirubi's house for an in-depth interview to find out how life has changed for the billionaire, since being diagnosed with Cancer.

The one lesson he says he has learned over the period he has been ailing, is that you remain alone when things get tough. Biko asked him

In what ways do you think falling sick has changed you and the people around you?

Chris answered saying,

One thing I’ve come to discover is that in the end, you’re alone. Your friends may love you, but eventually, you have to deal with your sickness personally. You think about the past, the things that you could have done, the things that you have not done, and what you can do to compensate for things you ignored. It is a time of reflection. And prayers from friends do help, a lot.

Chris Kirubi is known as one of the most successful Kenyan businessmen and in as much as he is ailing, he is still working. It is definitely not for money because he has a lot of it. He says he works for achievement.

A surprised Biko asked him if he feels he hasn't achieved it all?

No. I’m sure in your pocket you have one of my products. A medical card, a smart card... There is no medical insurer that isn’t using my smart application. My ICT company has nearly two million subscribers. I look forward to having four million and I’m sure by the time I have four million, I’ll want to have six million more. Why? Because I contribute to people’s wellness.

That answer was clear that in as much as we look at him as a 'god' he is human at the end of the day.

Chris Kirubi also confessed that now he is closer to God because without God he wouldn't have been who is - the business mogul we call him.

I’m closer to God now because I’ve believed without God’s will I could not be who I am today. It took me many months lying in bed sick to believe that God is most powerful. And it’s a shame we always go to God when we need Him, but God will never turn you away because you came to Him later rather than earlier. God is merciful and forgiving.

CK's message in the in-depth interview was about being true to one's self and that is the biggest take home for his fans.
