Kamene and Kibe have this morning decided to tackle real issues the youth are facing when it comes to employment.

It made for a rather telling fact that most guys who called in are in university and have already given up hope for what the future holds for them after finishing their degree.

And one of the students who called in brought to light that it is all the policymakers fault.

we lie to ourselves too much. Our policymakers have messed us up. in a class of 30. three will be employed and 27 will be left to fend for themselves and only 7 will have the courage to start their own business.

Another guy who is currently in his fourth year on campus called in to say he wishes he chose another course.

I am currently an actuarial science student and after my internship, I was wondering where will I go after my degree? I am finishing school next year and I wish I did something else because where will I go?

The conversation was abit depressing because so many youths are experiencing this problem. Andrew Kibe is strongly saying there is no space for all these graduates. He says it was easier back then.

back then it was if you can not get the grades required in univeristy, then go to a polytechnic and do apprenticeship. How many people are sitting at home with a piece of paper and no hope for a job?

Kibe even went ahead to give their listeners the few courses that have no job opportunities.

art, hospitality, criminal justice, political science there is only one Mutahi Ngunyi, mass media. there is no space. another 50,000 graduates will come out of school and find no space. Education is the worst thing that happend to our country

It is clearly a big problem and what Kamene and KIbe are trying to do is bring the reality to light.

I am a fourth-year student from Strathmore. I happen to be recovering from mental illness so I had to take leave from school. I came back to school and got to see what happens on the ground. I did an internship and we need to be honest about life, the educational system and employment. it is not always the educational system. life in school and on the ground is very different.

There is a fault in the system and it is sad that we even have people who are afraid to leave campus.

can we not allow to succumb to this system. It is a flawed mess but does not allow yourself to be taken down by the system. It might not change and so we have to accept it is there just do not let the sysytem defeat you.
