Jacque Maribe and Joseph 'Jowie' Irungu appeared before Justice James Wakiaga again. The two have been charged for the murder of business women Monicah Kimani on September 19.

They both pleaded not guilty.

Jowie highlighted his medical situation and the judge ordered that Kenyatta National Hospital immediately admit him.

The facility had declined because of a Sh31 million debt owed by the prisons. A medical report shows Jowie could end up with a collapsed lung and pneumonia if not attended to in good time.

The High Court judge directed that Jowie undergo surgery to remove a bullet from his shoulder or he will review his October 30 decision that denied him bail, to enable him to seek medical attention at another facility.

Meanwhile, Jacque was also given access to her house in Langata, but her mobile phone will be used as evidence.

Probe into her car, allegedly used during the murder, is underway.

In court, Jacque's family was present. One particular moment that captured the hearts of many was after the court session where Jacque's mum comforted Jowie.

For sure a mother's love doesn't discriminate. Their love always flows.
