Jua Cali has announced that his latest project, an album titled Mali ya Umma will be dropping on the 12th of September.

This is great news for any of Jua cali's fans and indeed for fans of Kenyan music especially Genge who have had to wait a long time for music from Jua Cali. Jua Cali was one of the pioneers of the genge sound which was crafted in Eastleigh's California area.
He together with his business partner Clemo (Clement Rapudo) set up Calif records which was a recording studio and stable for Jua Cali and a host of other artistes such as Nonini. Actually, former artistes signed to Calif Records included:
