Nkosinkulu is a 13-year-old Kenyan who originally played soccer in Kenya but moved to Newfoundland in Canada where he learned Ice Hockey.

"I moved to Canada where my friends encouraged me to try Ice hockey. I had never tried to play the game before so I decided to give it a shot. I practiced and before I knew it, I was getting sponsored to play on different teams," Nkosinkulu AKA Kulu stated.

"My greatest highlight is the fact that I learned to play ice hockey within 3 weeks. Most people take about a year to perfect but I did it in 3 weeks," Kulu shared proudly.

Already working and earning a stable income, The 13-year-old boy claims to manage work, books and sports at the same time. "I am not getting paid for playing ice hockey although someday I will. However, I am already working and earning some money. My parents help me balance school and sports. They have always been supportive of me," Kulu disclosed.

Ice hockey being one of the most violent games, Kulu has had to train as often as he could.

"I train during the week as often as I can. You have to eat and keep fit. It's a rough game so you have to be physically fit. Hopefully, By the time I am 15 years, I will be in OHL(Ontario Hockey League). Usually being a professional requires one to be at least 21 years old. However, if you have potential, they can retain you from the age of 17. All I can say to those who are pursuing their dreams is never give up, keep pushing until you get there," Kulu concluded
