The discussion on the kind of music that should be played in Kenya has been going on for a while now with many Kenyan artistes complaining that radio presenters and DJs don't play enough Kenyan music as much as they play international music.

The discussion has so many sides, but do we really have great content that can be played anywhere? Many would say we have incredible artistes who deliver nothing but great hits. So what about the rest?

Well, Huddah Monroe has given her take on the whole discussion. Taking to social media, she plainly stated why she listen to Nigerian music.

"Do you know why I listen to Nigerian music? It keeps my spirits high as f**k! I hear what I want to hear in their music... Those guys are woke as f**k! The kind of message they pass is not only about taking drugs and f*****g ! They talk real life situations! They motivate me... And that's what I want to hear... sio kukunywa na kuf**k all day everyday!!!!

She went on to state that the Kenyan entertainment scene needs a lot of work to get to the next level because music sells big time.

She went on to applaud Nyashinski, Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Jones and Octopizzo for putting Kenya on the map.

Huddah also revealed that she has music that she listens to depending on her moods.
