Ever since the world started taking major measures in a bid to curb the spread of Coronavirus, the move caused a ripple effects on planned major events across the globe.

For instance, the international Olympic committee announced that the much anticipated Olympics event scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan in July would be rescheduled to a date ''beyond 2020 but not later than summer 2021''

This was followed by a cancelation and postponement of other sporting and cultural events that bring people together from across the world, till the deadly virus is contained.

In Kenya for instance, the annual #KOT5Aside football tourney that was scheduled for Saturday, May 30th was postponed. 

The event which is more than a football event, brings together Kenyans on Twitter for a fun filled day full of banter, entertainment and networking.
