Lady Gaga was dripping in diamonds at the Golden Globes on Sunday evening and the singer’s jewellery was reportedly worth a jaw-dropping $5 million (£3.9 million).
The A Star Is Born actress, 32, debuted the exquisite Tiffany Aurora Necklace on the red carpet which was custom made for her and featured 300 diamonds with a 20-carat pear-shaped stone at the centre.
Her stylists, Tom Eerebout and Sandra Amador, told how the singer’s jewelry perfectly complimented her flowing, eggshell blue Valentino dress.
They said: ‘The Tiffany Aurora necklace, specially crafted for Lady Gaga and today’s Globes, captures the majestic nature of her dress perfectly.
‘Because this is such a special moment — her first major award show of the season — we wanted the jewelry and dress to complement each other.
‘What could be more fitting than this exquisite custom piece, named after the goddess of dawn and a cluster of stars, to mark Lady Gaga’s wonderful work in A Star is Born?’
Along with her bespoke necklace, the hitmaker also donned a $115,000 diamond and platinum cluster earrings and a trio of bracelets.
Lady Gaga’s dress featured a pleated detail, dramatic belled sleeves and a head-turning train that flowed along the red carpet.
The Bad Romance star’s platinum blonde locks were styled into a sleek updo with a baby blue finish to compliment her outfit.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, it was pointed out to the singer that her dress bared a striking resemblance to the one Judy Garland wore in the 1954 version of A Star Is Born.
When asked if she had chosen the look deliberately to pay homage to Judy, Gaga said: ‘We didn’t say that. No, but it looks an awful lot like that, doesn’t it?
She looks beautiful. This is Valentino Couture custom creation for me. That’s special, except I’m missing the gloves.
‘Thank you for showing me that. It made my night.’
Although the film was a hit with critics and audiences alike, it seems the Hollywood Foreign Press Association was not as taken with A Star Is Born which one only one of its five nominations.
The film took home the award for Best Original Song for Shallow, performed by the film’s leads, Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
