Governor Mike Sonko has spoken urging his colleagues to keep pushing Ken Okoth's agenda to legalize marijuana.

He spoke during the Late Ken Okoth memorial service held at Moi Girls High School. Sonko said,

Ken was a very good friend. He lays here because of cancer, Bob Collymore left us the same way and Gavana Laboso has also been taken by cancer. It is a big enemy in Kenya.

Ken had a very important motion. People are afraid of speaking the truth and these controversial things but I will talk. This man wanted to legalize marijuana because it is medicine for cancer.

keep going on with the motion for weed to be legalized. I've seen the president is in Jamaica and when the bill is passed, we will make sure they clean one will come in from Jamaica as the cure for cancer

Ken Okoth succumbed to cancer last week at the Nairobi Hospital. His wish was to be cremated but the court has stopped it after his 'wife' sued Lee Funeral Home and Ken's family(mother and wife).
