And it got me thinking about the type of jams we like. Music is a very emotional thing and that is the reason why when we are going through certain things, we relate to different types of music or different artistes.
When you're exercising, chances are your playlist is filled with amped-up music. When you're in love, all those cheesy RnB jams aren't cringe-worthy anymore.
But there are some songs that we enjoy inspite of our moods and we go back to these jams regardless of what we are going through in life. So I asked Adelle Onyango, Shaffie Weru and Chito Ndlovu for their favourite songs. Not many, just 5 and these were their picks:
