Have you ever had anxiety so bad, it puts you in a position where you felt so stuck that you feel like you're paralyzed and feel like you can do nothing?

If you suffer from extreme anxiety, the best thing for you is to seek professional help. But there are other remedies and methods you can do at the comfort of your home to reduce the amount of anxiety and fear you have.

Get away from distractions

When anxiety hits, you're pretty much willing to do anything to get back to normal. The first thing you need to do is relax. Abandon everything you're doing at the time. You need to get away from distractions. Social media, your phone work. Anything that brought you a certain amount of stress. Avoid it as much as possible.

Be still

Try to find out why you are feeling the way you are feeling. Getting to the root of the problem is one of the best ways to handle your anxiety. Once you've figured that out be still, meditate. Take a minute or two to clear your mind and focus on your thoughts at the moment and breathe. Meditation is a great way to get rid of the unnecessary anxiety you go through. You don't have to be perfect at it. In fact your not going to be that great at first. But with practice and time, you'll get better at it. But the fact that you've taken the time to take a minute to meditate that's a win for you.

Let go

A part of that anxiety comes from the fear you have due to you not having control over anything. Try and understand, there are things in this world that you can control and there are things you can't. Those that you can't, let go and let God handle the rest. You don't need to be stressing yourself over things that you can't control.

Inform your loved ones

Going through anxiety isn't something you would want to go through alone. Opening up to your loved ones about this problem helps you go through with it a lot easier than when you're by yourself. Talk to people you know who've suffered the same thing. Ask for their advise and try to find out how they were able to cope through with it.

Find a routine that works for you

Find daily habits that work for you and your schedule. Find things that make you feel normal again and help you live out your life as best as you can. Exercising and reading books that help with your anxiety can also be implemented in your daily routine.

Be happy

Worrying about things that aren't that big of a deal or should be given the attention they deserve robs you of your chance of happiness. Put on your favourite song and dance to it. Doesn't matter if you have left feet or no rhythm. Do the things that make you feel happy, that bring you joy and keep doing it cause you deserve to be happy.
