Cutting weight has become the new normal among Kenyan Celebrities. Recently, several celebs have shared their weight loss journeys with fans online, celebrating their milestones after losing weight.
Below is a list also explaining why they chose the road;
The ex-wife to businessman Jamal Roho Safi has been on a rebranding journey, and she wasn't mincing her words as she said she was working on herself.
"The grass is not greener on the other side; It’s greener where you water it. and that's on putting myself first👊🏽I did it! I’m so proud of myself! This is how -17kgs looks like *pats myself on the back*" she wrote.
2. Sheila Mwanyigha
The media personality in an interview mentioned her weight loss journey got triggered by age advancement.
She noted waking up tired in the morning was not adding up for her, and she had to make it happen.
3. Willis Raburu
Willis revealed that he was forced to undergo Gastric bypass weight loss surgery for the sake of his health.
He disclosed that before the procedure he had lost 21kgs having weighed 164 kgs before.
4. Chebet Rono
The 22-year-old content creator stated that after battling depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, losing weight was the only gift she could give herself.
She added she was not ready for the immense fame she plunged into at such a tender age.
5. Big Ted
Thomas Kwaka attributed his massive weight loss to a gastric bypass he underwent in India to be a lightweight.
Before the Surgery, Big Ted weighed over 168 kgs before going down to 97 kgs after his surgery.
6. Kate Actress
The multiple award-winning actress opted for a gastric balloon procedure to help her with weight loss.
The mother of two disclosed that she needed to shed weight for some acting opportunities and also live a healthy life.
She mentioned that she was in and out of the gym but had not shed off the excess weight.
"There are roles I would like to play, that I feel I'm ready for, but I feel I would be more confident and sexier if I was a few kilograms lighter," Kate noted
7. Anerlisa Muigai
The Keroche heiress revealed on social media that she had lost weight to resemble her late sister Tecra Muigai.
"My family and I miss Tecra so much that I promised I will lose weight to her size, every time they look at me, they see her but when I speak, they hear my voice. God bless Us all.”
