Lil Nas X came out of the closet at the end of Pride Month; July.
Since then he has foreseeably been the brunt of jokes and some harassment but that is to be expected in hip hop, SJWs notwithstanding.
This, however, got me thinking; it's said that when America sneezes, the world catches a cold. So whenever there is a cultural shift in America, the world quickly adjusts in a similar way. Hip hop now has its first openly gay rapper and you can be sure he shan't be the last. The barn door has been opened and all the horses have bolted.
So does that mean we will be seeing our very own locally bred openly homosexual artistes? I personally think this is long overdue because we have heard of or know of some who are still deep in the closet. What do you think? Take the time to vote in our poll below:
