It would appear that even Lindsay Lohan is a Swiftie.

The 32-year-old Mean Girls actress was very active in the comments section of Taylor Swift's Instagram Live feed on Thursday, during which the pop star shared details of her forthcoming album with fans.

'You should respond!' wrote LiLo at one stage, after failing to catch the 29-year-old singer's attention.

As Swift spoke about her forthcoming album, titled Lover, the Machete actress slid into her comments, initially writing, 'Omg love you! So does my sis @alianalohan'.

'We think you're great,' continued the Freaky Friday star.

After getting no love from the Grammy winning songstress, Lohan tried to interest her with a reference to Cats, the forthcoming film in which Taylor will play Bombalurina.

'My mom [Dina Lohan] was in cats'.

Finally, Lindsay went with the direct approach, typing, 'You should respond!' before adding a face-saving 'To your fans!'

Taylor Swift delighted her fans on Thursday by announcing details of her latest album.

The 29-year-old pop star announced Lover will debut on August 23rd.

She went live on her Instagram to give fans an insight to her forthcoming album that features 18 (her biggest yet) songs.

The singer dressed in a blue linen shirt and her signature red lip to announce her new single that will premiere on Thursday at midnight titled, You Need to Calm Down.

The music video to follow will premiere on Monday, June 17th on Good Morning America.

'This album, in tone, it’s very romantic,” she said in the live.

'Not just simply thematically, like it’s all love songs or something. The idea of something being romantic, it doesn’t have to be a happy song. You can find romance in loneliness or sadness or going through things in your life… it just looks at those things through a romantic gaze.'

The ME! singer also announced that Stella McCartney will also be collaborating with this new era of music. Swift has been sporting a lot of McCartney's looks due to their bright colors and says she is excited about this new partnership.

The singer says she will give more details on collaborations and album details on her Instagram.

This news comes just one year after Reputation was released with Swift breaking her typical release cycle to bring a more positive and upbeat form of music. During the darker era for Swift she coined the term, 'There will be no explanation. There will just be Reputation' as a nod to her past infamous feuds with Kanye West, 42, and Kim Kardashian, 38.

Swift stayed under the radar after Kanye's song Famous featured slander about the singer that she says she didn't know about.
