Since Kenya reported its first Coronavirus case two weeks ago, the number has now escalated to 15 after 8 new cases were confirmed on Sunday by health CS, Mutahi Kagwe.

Even before the devastating news, the country has almost been on full lock down, with most Kenyans now forced to work from home.

With all these new and abrupt changes, Kenyans have been thrown into panic mode with many now living in fear.

However, celebrities have taken this opportunity to try and instill hope and counter fear amongst their fans.

They have also taken the responsibility to educate and harness their followers on the importance of staying safe at home and sanitizing at all times.

We take a look at some of the celebrities to have done this;

2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 in order of pictures. The last image is from a recent activation a few days ago (2020). Even though I joined hands with a brand to amplify the message of hand washing with soap to fight disease and germs, I’ve always been pedantic about it. Never has there been a more important time to practice this life saving habit and to pass it along to our little ones. I’ve attached a link in my bio by @guardian, which talks about the science of hand washing with soap. Read it. Internalize it. Practice it. This is a difficult time yet the most seemingly simplistic messages like social distancing, staying at home and washing your hands with soap and water are protecting people the world over. Let’s listen to important messages and directives. They go a long way. #washyourhands #handhygiene #fightgerms #protection #flattenthecurve
