Maria tv series on Citizen tv has become so popular that swindlers are starting to con people out of it. The poster called people for auditions asking them for specific details like name, age, location, passport photographs, and a thousand shilling audition fees.

Lulu Hassan warned her followers and asked them not to be duped by scammers who want to make money illegally by defrauding others. She also asked for people to spread the word to avoid any further fraud.
