Dennis Itumbi has revealed some very intimate conversations he had with Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe.

The conversations took place when Jacque was still incarcerated at the Langata Women's Prison.

Since her release on Thursday night, Jacque has been in the protective and caring custody of her parents.

"I have not communicated to her since then, but what I am sure is she is with her parents. I'm sure she will be resting and picking up the tissues as she awaits to go back to work, because life must continue," Itumbi said in a phone interview.

That was why Itumbi was amused by KOT who were trolling him and linking him to Jacque in salacious tweets.

Asked if he is hoping to take the friendship to another level, Itumbi said:

"She is my friend and she will be forever, and I'm glad i am there for her. She is a beautiful African lady and any man would want to date her, but for me and her, we are friends and ready to deepen our friendship to go far.

"I am not Jacque Maribe's ex-boyfriend because we have never been lovers, and she has also answered about those allegations. Our friendship is bigger than lovers and I call those rumours Cinderella stories."

Meanwhile, he revealed some intimate conversations he had with Jacque when she was in prison. He even hinted that Jacque could one day write a tell al book.

Itumbi then told Pulse: “By the way, last weekend, I told her, as her very supportive father and mother listened, 'People are saying I am trying to win you back'…”

Here was Jacque's response:

"Tell them, we share a soul. Something deeper than love, a friendship that words can only spell but not explain,” Jacque wittily shot back.

Itumbi then egged on told Jacque after that very intimate comment about being soul mates

"Remand has made you a poet, yeah..."

Jacque responded is a soft voice:

"No. It has just taught me that journalism has a bigger duty than just covering events. I have so many stories to tell one day, when all this is over."
