Meek Mill has received an apology after accusations of racism.

The Las Vegas Cosmopolitan Hotel released a statement on Friday in which they took responsibility for any wrongdoing.

This all began when the 32-year-old rapper accused the casino of racial discrimination last weekend after they threatened to arrest him for trespassing when he was not allowed into their day club.

Though the hotel has previously said it was to do with capacity not race, the hotel has now given rapper Meek the public apology that they promised.

Taking full responsibility for the situation, their statement said that they apologized regarding how everything was handled.

'We apologize to Meek Mill for how we handled the situation on Saturday, May 25, as we did not act in a respectful manner and were wrong,' they began.

'Meek Mill has not had any prior incidents on our property. The Cosmopolitan has zero tolerance for discrimination and we pride ourselves on providing an inclusive environment.'

Continuing on, they welcomed the artist back to their hotel as a guest.

'We look forward to welcoming Meek Mill back to the resort.

reported on Friday: 'Meek is expected to post soon that he accepts the apology, and we're told the threat of a lawsuit will disappear.'

The apology letter comes after the rapper accused the casino of racism last weekend.

In a video released by TMZ on Saturday, the Going Bad rapper was seen in a confrontational chat with security where they alleged that he had been in some kind of physical altercation during a previous visit to the casino, to which he claimed, 'impossible'.

When he and his own security pressed the casino employee for details about the alleged altercation, he backtracked and said he didn't know the fine details and would need to contact the vice-president for further information.

'This comes from way higher up than me,' one guard allegedly said, according to Meek's lawyer Joe Tacopina.

The rapper took to social media to blast the casino for racially profiling him.

'If you come from our culture you should never step foot in the cosmopolitan hotel they just really racist as hell,' he wrote. 'Something really has to be done in Las Vegas what they doing to black people!'

'They telling black rappers they are banned from properties they own without incident ... they just told me I was trespassing and I will be arrested I stepped in that hotel once at a jayz party without incident!' he added in a subsequent tweet.
