Fashion pundits are raising their eyebrows over Nairobi Governor's gold Versace brooch lapel pin.

Mike Sonko was photographed at the Senate committee where he had securely placed the designer accessory on the right side lapel of his navy blue suit.

Sonko was defending his decision of not appointing a deputy governor for the last 15 months.

He claimed it is "a non issue".

However, what caught the attention of fashion pundits besides his usual swag was the Versace lapel pin.
