The hardened youthful gangster known as Brayo was arrested on Wednesday night by the renowned crime buster Ahmed Rashid.
He is being held at the Pangani police station.
Before his arrest he posted a cryptic message on his social media.
"I'm going to make the best of every moment because life could end at any second. Life is what you make it," wrote Brayoh.
Brayo is wanted for a series of robberies and murders in the city.
He is believed to be the man who shot dead Corporal Martin Korir during a highway robbery on a Thika-bound Neo Kenya bus on Thika Road on April 28.
The thugs took away the officer's gun after searching him and other passengers.
The gun was later recovered by Flying Squad officers on the night of May 12 after they ambushed and killed four gangsters in Dandora Phase 2.
Brayo is also wanted in connection with the shooting of Deputy CJ Philomena Mwilu’s driver on October 24, last year.
The attackers also made away with the officer's gun during the shooting in Hurlingham Estate near Marsabit Plaza. The driver survived the attack.
The shooting happened moments after the bodyguard dropped off the DCJ at her Karen home.
Three suspects, James Wachira, Eric Njuguna and Everyncy Khalifwa, were arraigned before Kibera chief magistrate on December 5.
They denied the charges and were each released on Sh1 million bond with sureties of the same amount.
In a post shared on Facebook, Hessy wa Kayole warned Brayo and his gang:
"HI MEMBERS!!!!THERE IS AN ISSUE OF GREAT CONCERN HERE AND I FEEL I SHOULD ALERT ALL MEMBERS IN THIS GROUP TOGETHER WITH ALL POLICE OFFICERS (UNIFORMED AND UNDER COVER) WITHIN NAIROBI COUNTY AND NEIGHBOURING COUNTIES.
I REMEMBER HAVING TALKED ABOUT THIS BOY BRAYOH KIGONYI( FB NAMES), I TOLD YOU THIS BOY IS SO DANGEROUS BUT PEOPLE DEFENDED HIM SERIOUSLY, LEO MCHANA KUNA SARAKASI AMEFANYA NA SIWEZI NYAMAZA NAYO:
TODAY AT AROUND SAA TISA MCHANA, BRAYOH TOGETHER WITH OTHER TWO THUGS (3 IN TOTAL) ARMED WITH PISTOLS, ATTACKED ONE OF THEIR OWN CRIME PARTNER BY THE NAME DAN, AT MAILI SABA AREA AND SHOT HIM INJURING ON THE LEFT HAND. HE WAS RUSHED TO MAMA LUCY HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT.
IT WAS LATER ESTABLISHED THEY HAD DISAGREED SOMETIMES BACK OVER STOLEN ITEMS WHICH RESULTED IN A FIGHT:
AM ALERTING ALL POLICE OFFICERS TO BE EXTRA ALERT, TO BE CAREFUL WITH THIS GUY BRAYOH KIGONYI, HE IS ARMED AND DANGEROUS, HE IS AN ENEMY OF THE STATE NOW, HE OPERATES MOSTLY WITH A MOTOrBIKE!" wrote HESSY WA KAYOLE.
Brayo had earlier claimed that he has reformed and eve given his life to the Lord, but Hessy called his bluff.
He said on Facebook:

THIS TIME ROUND, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PLAY YOUR STUPID GAMES WITH US.
