We all love our Kenyan mothers, If it's not for them we wouldn't be where we are now. However we did not get there only by kind words.

We got here through tough love and words. What better way to celebrate our Kenyan mothers on Mothers day than remind ourselves of the past.

Here are some common words we all got from our loving mothers.

Mjinga kama babako

This comes when your mum sends you for something that's right in front of you. You start saying 'Misioni', then she hits you with one of this.

Vunjaa Zote

This is shouted right after a plate or any utensil falls down or breaks. It has a guilty tone you end up crying even before the ass whooping.

Hii mate isikauke kabla hujarudi

When your sent to the shop or you supposedly forgot something at your friends house (text book ya homework).

Nikuskie Ukilia ama Sauti

After getting a thorough beating from your mum. Then she sends you warning shots not to cry or there will be another beating.

Enda Uvae Ukuje Twende

This is the biggest lie our Kenyan mums told us. By the time you came back your mum was already gone.

Babako alioa maid endelea kuchafua tu nguo!

Children have to play but making clothes dirty was followed with reading of this warning. To remind you that your mum is not about that life.

Katikati ya mimi na wewe nani mzazi?

When you try to defend yourself or correct something wrong she said.

here are some other tweets about our Kenyan Mothers.

Feel free to share some more things your mother said that we don't know.
