For many years, Jaguar has been at the realm of Kenyan hit makers spewing timeless records, like “Kigeugeu” and “One Centimetre”.

He’s back with his long-term production house: Mainswitch Studios with a new hit single: “Nikuvishe Pete” alongside Lubisia - new kid on the block.

“Nikuvishe Pete” (Put a ring on your finger) is a captivating ballad as we enter the wedding season. It’s a certified sing along track and set to be a favourite for all the women aspiring to get engaged or tie the knot.

Speaking on the collaboration and his protégé Jaguar says, “Lubisia is an exceptional and talented artiste and I am very excited to work with him again. Kenyans should definitely keep their eyes on Lubisia because I can assure you that he has so much to offer, musically speaking, and there are more upcoming projects that we will work on together."

He added, “Our new song is perfect show for the kind of sounds we’ve been working on. I hope all our fans love it.”

The music video of “Nikuvishe Pete” was shot and directed in South Africa by Kenyan video director: Thome. With the artistes clad in African outfits like the dashiki; the look and feel of the video is set against a backdrop of a beautiful home complete with a scenic view.

Taking up Lubisia as his protégé puts Jaguar among established Kenyan artistes supporting young and talented upcoming acts in Kenya. The new collaboration with Lubisia is also a way for Jaguar thanking Lubisia for composing his song for his campaign trail during the recent election period.

Lubisia and Jaguar first met during the campaign trail in the 2017 elections as he was venturing into elective politics. Lubisia wrote a captivating campaign song that saw him perform in a number of political rallies – an election Jaguar would later win.
