On November 11, Miley Cyrus broke her almost four-month social media silence meant to lead to the premier of her seventh studio album to reveal the home she shared with her fiance Liam Hemsworth had burned downed in the Woolsey Fire.
Monday evening, the 26-year-old songstress shared three short video clips to her Instagram account.
Each post was captioned: '11/29 (broken heart emoji) @iammarkronson.' The song is reportedly titled, Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.
Miley's first clip focused and defocused on a child playing with bullets; the next featured a menacing clown running; the last, a red broken heart disco ball slowly spun.
Dramatic synth-driven music rose in the background of each clip.
There were words on the first two posts, seemingly spelling out 'Like a' before the appearance of the cracked ticker.
Like a phoenix, the Wrecking Ball singer seems to be rising from the ashes of her burnt down former home to release new music, but it seems like it might come in a darkened state.
Miley's last studio effort, Younger Now, hit streaming services and shelves in September 2017, fronted months earlier by its first single Malibu.
The song, as well as the LP, found the continuously changing artist returning to her pop country roots, following a highly-publicized 'bad girl' spell.
It seemed like she had found some steady footing over the years, finally committing to longtime on-again, off-again boyfriend-turned-fiance (for a second time) Hemsworth.
But with the cozy floorboards of their longtime home now gone, there is no knowing what might be coming next.
The first noises about Miley's newest music came in May when a video surfaced of her in the studio with Mark Ronson.
There was no audio and it was simply captioned, 'Green Juices and heartbreaking tunes.'
Speculation surrounding new big and smooth soundscapes made with the guy most famous for Uptown Funk abounded.
