Naftali Kinuthia was yesterday presented before the court where the Senior Resident Magistrate Nichodemus Moseti allowed police to hold him for 14 days.
This is to facilitate the completion of investigations into the cold-blooded killing of Ivy Wangeci up until April 30, when he will be brought back to court.
Naftali’s lawyer Mbiu Kamau told the court that they also needed time to have him treated for injuries he sustained after being attacked by mobs during the incident.
The court ordered that he be taken for treatment at the Moi Referral hospital.
Ivy was hacked to death by Naftali Kinuthia who was well known to her and her family. They were childhood friends.
