Burna Boy is having the time of his life this year.
From being featured in Beyonce’s album, The Gift to appearing on Jimmy Kimmel and dropping his album, African Giant.
He has been featured on various international radio and TV stations from the likes of The Breakfast Club to an interview with Billboard where he talked about his music.
During an interview, Burna Boy said that he wants to take his sound to “Unfamiliar Countries”. He added that he planned to penetrate their music scenes with his music. He added that he’s going to go on another tour soon and he intends on performing in countries like China and the likes.
When he was asked about his growth locally, he said that Nigerians recognize him now only because the world does.
Nigerians love me a lot more now because they can see that the whole world likes me, too. They think I’m something special, but I’m not. I’m just a human whose skill is making music. The way I see it, everyone plays their own role in the world, and no role is more important than the other
Furthermore, he was asked how wealthy he is during the interview. He replied by saying,
You are only as rich as where you come from, and Nigeria has a lot of poverty
Burna Boy draws inspiration from Fella Kuti. He has shown the potential to be one of the biggest artistes in Africa with massive collaborations with the likes Future, Damien Marley, Serani and Angelique Kidjo in his 19 songs album which got his fans excited.
