She’s one of the most famous people in the world – and her oldest child wanted to know why. Kim Kardashian, speaking with Big Boy on Real 92.3 Thursday, shared an anecdote about the time her five-year-old daughter North West asked her, ‘Mom, why are you famous?’

The reality TV queen, 37, told the radio host she didn’t flinch at the precocious inquiry from North, thinking she had to ‘explain this’ immediately.

‘I’m like, “We have a TV show.; we have a TV show.” And she was like, “Oh, okay,”‘ the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star said.

Big Boy asked the mother-of-three – to North, son Saint, two, and six-month-old daughter Chicago, with her husband Kanye West, 41 – about how full North’s piggy bank is.

‘Do you think North has more money than us? Like her own?’ the radio host asked Kim, who replied, ‘North is good.’

Earlier this summer, Kim told the British program This Morning that despite her fame, things slow down within the confines of her home, where she’s like any other mom.

‘At home I’m not known,’ she said. ‘My kids have no clue what’s going on. So I don’t really feel it – I spend most of my time at home.’

What North probably doesn’t know yet is the massive media coverage her mom’s pregnancy garnered at the time of her June 2013 birth.

With her impending birth a top story in the news at the time, Kim lashed out at paparazzi that had been trailing her, arguing that she wasn’t able to finish her pregnancy in peace amid a fleet of photographers jostling for their shots.

She wrote on Twitter June 6, 2013: ‘Yesterday 4 cars boxed me in. One in front, behind, & one on each side just to have me drive at their speed so they can snap through the window. Its really so scary what they are legally allowed to get away with!’

Kim and Kanye eventually welcomed their daughter June 15, 2013 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, with widespread media coverage speculating what name they would chose for their first born.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs on E! Sundays at 9/8c.
