Don't expect longtime rap rivals, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj - to collaborate on a project anytime soon.

During a brief chat on the red carpet at the Swisher Sweets Artist Project Awards in West Hollywood on Friday, Variety reporter Marc Malkin broached the subject of the pair putting their beef behind them.

Is there ever a chance that you and Nicki would make up and perform together?

He asked with a big smile on his face.

Several seconds of awkward silence followed as the Bodak Yellow hitmaker stood motionless with an unbreakable smile on her face.

To help break the ice, Malkin dropped one of Cardi's trademark lines, 'Okurrr,' which spurred Cardi on to start giggling in an usual tone.

In another effort to ease tension, the reported injected, 'I love your laugh, 'which did nothing to detract her from cackling on with that big beaming smile.

Cardi B and Nicki's feud has been well documented. It came to a head during a heated confrontation at a New York Fashion Week party last September.

In several videos posted on social media, the Bronx-native could be seen lunging towards Minaj before throwing a show at her rival rapper.

Security teams rushed in and broke up the scrum before it could escalate even further.

Afterwards Cardi was photographed with a bruise above her right eye and the back of her dress torn. Insiders with Variety reported that the bruise came from an accidental elbow from one of Minaj's security guards.

Later, Cardi revealed in an Instagram post that the fight had to do with alleged comments Minaj made about Cardi's daughter, Kulture.

After some back-and-forth claims and comments, things have been relatively quiet between the two since October.
