Ommy Dimpoz is in Kenya after a successful throat surgery in South Africa. The Baadae hitmaker has been welcomed into the country by Mombasa based media personality Chris.
The singer has been having difficulties with his throat for a long time, and this year he made the decision to do something about the pain.
In an interview after his first surgery, Ommy says he couldn’t swallow food and water couldn’t go down his throat.
I started getting throat problem, even when eating, I couldn’t swallow the food. I got a lot of trouble. It reached a time when I drank water, it wasn’t going down my throat.
Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho sponsored the singer's treatment after linking him up with his doctors.
Mombasa governor Joho recommended some doctors to me. They advised me to undergo an operation.I did the operation and I now have a scar on my neck through to my stomach.I was something that was very risky for me.
The singer is in the country to probably stay away from all the celebrity pressure and attention he could get while in Tanzania.
